Apple updates Mac mini with faster processors, available today

Apple has just announced an updated version of its Mac mini. This new model includes an Ivy Bridge dual-core i5 processor.

The entry level model will also come with 4GB of RAM, and a 500GB hard drive.

USB 3.0 is now standard on the mini, which will start at $599.

The server version will cost $999, and includes a 2.3GHz quad-core i7 processor and two 1TB hard drives.

It is possible to use Apple’s new ‘fusion drive,’ where a hard drive is combined with flash storage.

This new Mac mini will be available from today.
