On October 29, 2002, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was released on the Playstation 2, and went on to become one of the best selling PS2 titles of all time. Now 10 years later, iOS and Android users will be able to revisit Vice City on their mobile devices, with Rockstar confirming a mobile port of the title.
According to Polygon,
The touch-controlled ports, which Rockstar says will “[bring] the full experience to mobile devices, featuring native high-resolution graphics and several enhancements unique to the iOS and Android platforms,” will be available “later this fall.”
Vice City isn’t the only game Rockstar has brought to iOS, with Max Payne and Grand Theft Auto 3 coming to iOS and Android over the past year.
Although Vice City won’t make it to mobile devices on its 10th anniversary, many are still pleased to see what is considered one of the best GTA games expand its reach.
