Apple announces faster and cheaper MacBook Pros and Airs


Through a press release, Apple has today announced an update to the MacBook Pro Retina and the MacBook Air lines.

The 13 inch Pro Retina has been dropped to US$1,499 for the 128 GB model and US$1,699 for the 256 GB model, which now comes with a new 2.6 GHz Intel processor.

The 15 inch Pro Retina now offers a new 2.4 GHz quad-core processor as standard, and the top of the line model gets a new 2.7 GHz quad-core processor and 16 GB of RAM.

The price of the MacBook Air meanwhile has also been dropped for the 256 GB model.

Before today’s update, the 13 inch retina pro started at $1,699 and went up to $1,999. While the 15 inch retina pro haven’t been discounted today, both now offer you better value for money.

The new MacBooks are available today from Apple’s online store and from Apple Authorised resellers.
