TechCrunch has reported on a “confidential presentation” today where a Chinese manufacturer gave some interesting insights into the production of Apple’s rumoured upcoming device, the iPhone 5S. In this presentation, the release date for the 5S was pointed to as definitely in June of 2013.
This company boasted complete Apple certification for wireless chargers and dongles it is creating for the iPhone 5, and is working with Foxconn, giving some credibility to the claim.
Rarely do we see any links to a certified manufacturer in cooperation with Foxconn, so this may be one of the best insights we have into the 5S. Whereas other rumours have suggested the 5S would be released late in the year, approximately 12 months from the iPhone 5’s release, this report suggests otherwise, and we are bound to see more information regarding the 5S in the coming months.
