Although Apple’s Podcasts app has recently received an update, many still feel it is lacking in key areas. Instacast is a fantastic alternative to the native podcast application, and at a reduced price of $1.99, it is even more appealing.
My pick for this week is Flipboard. With the 2.0 update coming, it has reinvigorated my interest in the app, and I am now using it quite a lot. The new magazine feature has great potential, allowing users to easily create their own personalised publication to share with others.
My pick this week is Speedtest. Yes, it’s been around for ages, but it’s redesign has got me back into the mood of testing the speed of my internet every now and again, both on Wi-Fi and cellular. The option to remove advertising through an in-app purchase also lured me back, which only cost a measly $0.99. Speedtest is available in the App Store for free.
